Rage Against the Machine
Show Information:
- Date:
- 1999-10-27
- Venue:
- Palacio de los Deportes
- Location:
- Mexico City, Mexico
- Tour:
- The Battle of Los Angeles - Promotional/Club Tour
- Notes:
- The Battle of Mexico City. Aztlan Underground and Tijuana No both opened for Rage. Originally this show was set to take place inside the Palacio de los Deportes but was moved last minute to a building next to it. This was due in part to student protests at the time that caused the police to come out in force for the show, both prior to the show's start and afterwards where concert goers were funneled out between two lines of police. Contrary to popular belief this show took place on the 27th and NOT the 28th! Zapata's Blood would be given its tour debut and to date has not been performed again. There was a MTV special in which about 40 minutes of concert footage and interviews was brodcast which included Bullet in the Head which was cut from the official release due to a guitar malfunction during the solo. Setlist picture is taken from the MTV special and is of the rehearsal - Mic Check and Ashes were not played day-of show.

Notes: MTV broadcasted about 40 minutes of the show which included parts of the show, interviews with members of the band, and rehersal footage. The broadcast included Bullet which was cut from the official release due to a guitar malfunction. Unfortunately, since this show was released as both a live DVD and vinyl for a RSD release I cannot host it.
